Hi, I’m Ash, a fine-line tattoo artist based in Ongar, Essex. I create delicate, illustrative tattoos with a hand-drawn feel, working from my friendly and welcoming studio.
I love turning personal ideas into tattoos that feel genuinely meaningful to the person wearing them. Your design might be inspired by a much-loved pet, a favourite flower, a special memory or simply an idea you have been carrying around for a while.
I welcome clients from Ongar and across Essex, including Epping, Brentwood, Chelmsford and the surrounding areas. Wherever your idea begins, I’ll work with you to create something thoughtful, beautifully considered and completely personal to you.
I’ve been drawing and painting for as long as I can remember, and I’ve always loved the idea of creating artwork that could stay with someone forever.
That became especially meaningful to me a few years back, when we lost our beloved dog. I wanted to carry something with me that would always remind me of him, and it made me realise how powerful a personal tattoo can be.
Alongside tattooing, I run my own art studio, Ash Fern Studio, where I create watercolour illustrations and paintings. That drawing-led background shapes the way I approach every tattoo. I sketch each design myself and do not reproduce another artist’s work, because your tattoo should feel completely personal to you.
I especially love creating nature-inspired, animal and sentimental tattoos, but more than anything, I enjoy working with people who value the creative process and want to make something thoughtful together.
I work by appointment only from a private room within a welcoming studio in Ongar. My aim is for you to feel calm, comfortable and able to ask anything. No nervous thought or question is too ridiculous here.
